My parents were immigrants from Europe who came here shortly before I was born. They had to learn a new language, although they might've had a little training in it earlier. They were also newly married and my mom went to college to get a job skill. My mom was somewhat feminine, but not VERY feminine, I'd say.--And she didn't have time to dress up my sisters and me with a lot of frills. She did buy or make us some "crinolines" one time, which were in style.... But I haven't been a frilly girl. And that's okay, in my opinion. I like to dress up when I can, but not all the time. In our Canadian climate, we also have to be warm in the winter.... If I would've had more money in the past while, I would've dressed better--but you do what you can.... I don't want to start explaining too many things but I suppose I have time in this month now, and if I haven't already explained something....
