There Was A Conflict-of-Interest, Part 1
It's only been in the past year or so that I myself have understood everything that happened with my previous criminal matters....
It happened that not all the adjudicators at the former Ontario Rental Housing Tribunal were lawyers. Only about half of them were. The lawyers have their own professional association called The Law Society of Upper Canada which sets out professional standards for all the lawyers practising in Ontario, as far as I understand.... These lawyers are expected to be courteous and civil towards their clients and other people in their dealings on the job, although I imagine a certain amount of verbal aggression is allowed in courtroom business...? Also, if a lawyer has a conflict-of-interest with a case, they're required to declare a conflict and remove themselves from that particular matter.... It's not fair for them to continue working when they'd likely have biased views of the subject at hand.... So, these are issues which a reputable lawyer would be aware of in this province, and probably elsewhere...? But again, not all the adjudicators were lawyers....
On my side, I had some faults or weak areas. First of all, I wasn't experienced in working in the business world or in dealing with the courts or quasi-judicial agencies.... Second, I suffered a fairly serious personal injury in between my hearing at the Ontario Rental Housing Tribunal and my first request for a review hearing.--I was somewhat socially isolated because of my injury.... However, it wasn't a fault of mine that I had a very complicated, human rights in housing case.... But I was inexperienced in dealing with gay people and didn't know how to use the right vocabulary....

When I went to the Ontario Rental Housing Tribunal hearing at the beginning, I wasn't thinking about romance with a man but in between the hearing cases, there was flirting that happened--and it wasn't initiated by me! But I was fairly flattered and I became attracted.... [And I had no knowledge of the other party's marital status.] There was no further opportunity at the time to follow up on the situation and I ended up moving away....
It was the standard practise for adjudicators to write up an order after every hearing and sometimes disputes arose over the orders, which happened in my case. There were a number of letters and applications sent to various individuals and adjudicators at the Ontario Rental Housing Tribunal, some of them in different cities.... The process was continuing on fairly smoothly and the Ontario Rental Housing Tribunal gave me permission to proceed....
In the meantime, I ended up sending a few personal letters to the man that I was attracted to; and I wrote about both personal and business matters, the business I intended to discuss for personal reasons only....
It turned out that this man had a conflict-of-interest with my case because of his sexual orientation and he'd become personally offended on account of my business.... Instead of removing himself from my case, he became spiteful towards me without telling me what was happening.... He did things behind my back....

One thing that happened was that I received a rather stern letter from another man who I was led to believe was a superior of the first man.... He made some mistakes in what he told me about my business and it seemed to me that he was unnecessarily interfering in my life...? He also told me he had my personal letters at his office, which wasn't where I sent them....
After receiving the second man's letter, I attempted to deal with it by various legitimate means but nothing seemed to help. So, I wanted to get the first man's attention and I sent a letter with sexual comments as a joke.... As people can imagine, that letter wasn't well-received.... Some further incidents went on from there in an attempt to apologize for the indecent letter...and I got arrested.... [There was actually some more to this matter on the side of this individual and I'll explain it below....]*
Have had some restrictions placed on my writing in the past and I've wanted to be careful of what I wrote in public.... [For the record, I also have three different pieces of evidence to support my claims in this blog post.] But I felt that I could write these things now, and I hope it'll help some people understand better.
*NOTE: It's my belief that this man and I were set up to meet by the secret police; and his complaints against me were partly real but they were partly false because, loosely speaking, it was wanted for me to be under a false criminal conviction to have time to write for the secret police project, which I've been explaining about in my Waterlily blogs.... For more information, people can look over my blogs....
NOTE, added on June 12, 2019: Have been writing more about the adjudicator in the past week or two.... I believe I've made some appropriate amends for the joke, sexual letter and I really hadn't been thinking clearly when I sent it; and also, I've acknowledged I must've made the adjudicator nervous by sending personal letters with business comments.... Am sorry I did these things.... I still believe we were set up to meet by the secret police, directly or indirectly, however I now believe the complaints made by the adjudicator against me were real--in his mind.... (There was an action by another party which was intended to contribute to a false, criminal conviction, I believe....)
