Landlord/Tenant Issue--once more!
TOBACCO SMOKE. Have I left out the part where a guest of mine was smoking* in my apartment--once? Yes, it was claimed by my landlady that smoking was a problem! But do people get evicted for causing one problem, one time? Or is there an opportunity for correction and forgiveness? There was supposed to be! My landlady claimed that my guest went to the yard to smoke later--maybe one other time?--and that smoke came in through her windows. However, she could have told me about it but failed to do so! [It's interesting that some people just want to complain to authorities without giving people a chance to respond or make corrections!?] *** The smoking was a very minor matter, in my opinion, considering that it happened so briefly. Normally, I don't care for tobacco smoke and I'm aware it's not healthy. [But you can't always cut people off.--Although since then, I've decided to be more health-conscious and to demand it from friends in my home.] *** *The guest sat beside an open window in the summertime.--That's why it didn't bother me so much personally, at the time.
