World AIDS Day

This is World AIDS Day today. U.S. President Obama is hoping to assist with greater access to medications for AIDS patients and eventually the eradication of the disease. Thirty million people have died of AIDS since it was discovered in 1981; and 34 million are currently suffering, according to reports in the media. *** Myself, am saying a silent prayer for those who are suffering from AIDS, and for their children and families--also for the children and families of those who have already died. [Prayer isn't enough but it's the least we can sometimes do.]

"The Queen Lady"--3

It has been my impression--my hunch--that this lady lied about me long ago. However, it's possible I'm mistaken.--Maybe she was just mistaken!? When I was visiting at her home more recently, she specifically told me she'd lie if she thought she was helping someone, but she didn't say what she might've lied about. Well, it may take a while to sort this matter out--although it shouldn't be that difficult, I guess!? I'll have to be patient! [It doesn't so much matter to me, one way or the other, except that the idea WAS a mistake! And we need to figure out if this woman will be involved in any possible show or program from Winnipeg.--Some parties have been hoping to do something at the new, human rights museum there, as far as I understand.]

"The Queen Lady"--2

In spite of the fact that this lady lied about me at the beginning, I understand she did it for show purposes.--She didn't really mean to do harm. And film/TV people have supported this woman, whether or not they knew the whole truth!? [At least she told a good story, huh???--It was good for some people!] Myself, I'm able to laugh at the matter now--if we can get past it. If we want to go forward and get somewhere, we really need to be able to look at the real truth! [Can we do that!?]

My Blog

Near the beginning of this blog I stated the blog might be a way for me to speak out for the police project, from my view. And that might not be the case, after all. But I've been happy to be able to "vent" and to tell my side of the story. Have appreciated this space, for sure.

A Reason for Prejudice???

Have been hearing some rumblings that people have heard I referred to my landlady in an inappropriate manner--by calling her a lesbian, if I recall--and they've held it against me without understanding all the facts. Is there ever a time to refer to another person's sexual orientation--whatever it may be? We should be as tactful as possible, I agree; and I wasn't as tactful as I could've been in that situation. But it may sometimes be necessary to make some comments. In this case, my landlady had been inconsistent between her words and actions; and she was denying the circumstances which I felt were a problem for me. Is it a problem if someone is gay? That in itself isn't a problem. But it can be a problem if the gay person is overly aggressive towards a heterosexual person. And that's what I felt happened in my case. In the sidebar of this blog, there's a Label "Landlord/Tenant and Related Issues" which deals with this matter. People can click there if they wish to study the matter further. *** Whatever concerns people have about me or my past business, I'm certainly willing to clarify them. I don't mind discussing anything that needs to be discussed; and I'll write to my official sources also. [And if I wasn't always 100% right, it doesn't change the fact that there were legitimate concerns to be dealt with.]

Many, Many Details Related

One of the main films which affected me within the past 10 years was Legally Blonde, 2001. They say if you relate to a film or TV show on a few points it's usually coincidence--and I agree with that. But if there are many, many details which relate, you may need to consider something else is happening!?--That was the view I took, especially when I had already seen some TV connections elsewhere. *** In late 1998, I expressed a serious interest in attending law school. Legally Blonde was about a young woman who went to law school.--And it's not directly meant to be about me--am not saying that [not exactly]. And it has been glamourized and fictionalized, of course! For the record, there were points about sexual harassment and about a gay man, whom the young woman deduced was gay. There was also the law professor who took students to work for him. [It's highly fictional, of course.--But one of my contacts in the late 1990s was a retired, law school professor.] *** Have also stated in this blog before that if some people prefer to believe the criminal charges against me, they're free to do so; and I won't try to convince them otherwise. People can go on their way, if they prefer. But some people may follow what I'm saying. *** Won't try to prove all the points of Legally Blonde here, except that another one was that a police report in 1998 stated I had blond hair [it wasn't quite true]. Some people may also have seen the movie and they have their opinions!? Well, it's been 10 years since that film was released! If some people had a 20-year marketing plan, I feel I've already fulfilled it within 10 years--have worked that hard--and I made a conscious choice to do so. *** If any of my acquaintances, or distant acquaintances, had input into the Legally Blonde film; and if they weren't trying to say it was directly a movie about me, then what were they trying to prove??? What did they want? [They used many elements from my landlord/tenant matter and from my life, for sure.] Have I written in this blog before that a king in Bible times was troubled by a dream he had. He asked a prophet of God to come help him--to explain the dream. And then he told the prophet he couldn't even remember the dream.--He wanted the prophet to also remind him of what he dreamt! That was a tall order and in that case, God showed the same dream to the prophet before explaining the interpretation to him. In my case, people most often refuse to have direct contact with me; and they don't tell me what they want; and yet they still expect me to perform for them in some way!!! So, I really need to try to narrow things down--unless I want to spend the rest of my life in a mental institution [however short that life might be, also]! If any Christian people have a mind to pray for me, I'd certainly appreciate it! [I need all the help I can get.] Sometimes other people have dealt with topics affecting me and I only have to report on what others have said. But if nothing much has been done, I may need to come up with more original material and it can be rough [not that I can't do original material--if I know what's happening!]. May God bless us and help us! [Have been trying so hard for such a long time; and I'd like to see some positive results by now.]

Other Past Connections

If I recall hearing correctly, the Province of Ontario had strong connections to New York City in the 1930s because of the Dionne family quintuplets who were born in 1934. The Province made them wards of the crown for about 9 years; and they were basically in a reality show and an amusement park called "Quintland" in northern Ontario! These quints were the first to survive infancy and the public found them to be charming and inspiring during the Depression. *** As for the police project, am just wanting to show what connections existed in the past. If the project began in 1932 as I've claimed, then anything following that date was significant.

"The Irish Boy"--again

Have written before that my Irish friend [whether he's actually Irish or not] has also been misled by others in this business. And he may also be in a competitive position towards me, at this time? Within the past few years, there was a particular channel where I had contact with him indirectly. There was another party who was nervous about our contact, however, and they always wanted to make sure a direct friendship or association didn't happen between us. Several times, the Irish man and I were getting to a place of communication and then it was interrupted by the other party. From the reactions I observed, the Irish man was somewhat disgusted and thought the problems were my fault?--That I was stalling or making trouble? But it wasn't my fault at all! As bad as it might be, this may not be the biggest problem?... The other areas [church "blindness" and my family] are also bad.--But I believe we'll get through them.--We'll deal with them, whatever it takes, God willing. [If God will give me health and strength long enough!--And I'm hopeful we're close to resolving this business....]

Criminal Issues--III

To make a long story short, what I was trying to do at the time I got arrested on the breach charge was to help the agency understand not to mix in the personal matters with business. Occasionally, in the course of processing paperwork, the agency did give me some trouble.--And as I've been saying, am still not sure what's going on with the actual Vice Chair who was there!? *** Was it too much to expect, at the time? Maybe the situation was too complicated!? It's also true that housing matters are quite personal, in a sense, but I had never identified my business matters as being "personal." *** My writing is somewhat limited by legal restrictions but from others' point of view, there could be any number of different personal angles which could come up! It's not a crime to send a personal letter for personal reasons, even to a place of business! It's too bad there were misunderstandings and complications; and I'm willing to take responsibility for my share of the problems [not to say anyone else necessarily had any responsibility in the problems at all]. *** Some people who know me mainly as an acquaintance may not have had the right information, so far. I hope nobody would be deliberately prejudiced although it's possible it may happen. [That people may be prejudiced because they choose to be.] And if so, there isn't much I can do, I guess!?

Criminal Issues--II

[Note: The original entry about "Criminal Issues" was posted in June 2009.] Will write a little more about the breach charge which came up in 1999. I had a condition of not attending at the local office [where I was living at the time] of the Ontario Rental Housing Tribunal except for official business. Arguments could be made about what was "official business," however, the Housing Tribunal had a policy of allowing whatever extra information they wished to accept as official business. And in my case, there had been confusion between business and personal letters. I had sent numerous letters by fax to the area office in Ottawa; and one day I wanted to save money and asked the local office to forward my letter.--Or maybe there were two different days I did that? It was the second day that I got arrested, if I recall. *** At the time, there was still confusion about my official business.--It was evident in my first trial held shortly afterwards; and I have the court transcripts, as I've mentioned to people. *** To be on the safe side, it would be better to avoid any possible wrongdoing or perceived wrongdoing by a wide margin!!! You don't want to give others a chance to accuse you, if you can help it! Anyway, I did the best I knew, at the time. And there has still been resistance about acknowledging the mistakes which were made in the official business--the mistakes made by the Province of Ontario which have been verbally acknowledged a number of times, including by lawyers. [If I did something wrong on my side, I'm sorry.]

The Firefighters

Have seen indications that if some police had authority to do their project many decades ago, the firemen were given the task of keeping them under control. Have been working on making sure current firefighters have the right information, as far as possible--i.e. like reading my blog! These people are normally busy with their real work which is demanding, of course. [My case has kind of been on a back burner it seems--for both police and firefighters, in many locations.]

Have neglected to mention that the Comment section in this blog has changed since the beginning. I believe it's now possible to post Comments anonymously.--Email addresses won't be displayed or even solicited, if people don't want to share them. *** Maybe people have wanted to wait for police to resolve the issues?--Or they were nervous of posting their Comments? Well, at least identity isn't an issue any longer. [It hasn't been an issue for a little while already.]

A Horse and A Piano

Note regarding the Labels, 2023:  Some posts under the New Insight--II Label have been deleted earlier.  Would prefer to delete the New Insight--II Label from my blog but the blog site isn't allowing me to make changes to the Labels any longer--unless I delete the posts individually and permanently.  Would like to keep the remaining posts under the New Insight--II Label for now...but the New Insight--II Label is no longer significant, as far as I'm concerned.  The Piano Stories Label is relevant.

Have found another horse story--with a prominent piano. In Black Stallion, 1979 [based on a novel from 1941], a piano accompanied some poetry reading which was done to honour a little boy and a horse who survived a shipwreck! It was interesting to see the combination of poetry, a piano, and a horse story! *** So, this is another piano story to add to my list! [The piano isn't the main feature here but it was fairly prominent--it's hard to miss; and it serves like a signature detail, which I've mentioned before.--Pianos and organs have been used as symbols in the police project--they're a memento of silent films from the past and of an undercover police project, you could say!?] *** Of course, have been commenting recently on the horse stories--I believe some are relevant to the Royal Canadian Mounted Police and the police project.

NOTE about Piano Stories, added in February 2023:  Maybe I've deleted some earlier posts which told that at the beginning of the special police project, many years ago, the police had wanted a female who could play the piano....  People with musical talent and interest are more likely to be emotional and creative, and may possibly express themselves well in writing, also.  A lot of writing has been necessary for the police project, and that was expected....  [In my case, my father first played the piano....  I took an interest at an early age but my father wasn't able to teach me...but he started sending me to a professional piano teacher when I was eight years of age.  I continued for six years and have had an interest in piano all my life.]  

A Big Deal

The Birdcage movie [mentioned recently in this blog] was based on the previous "La Cage aux Folles" from the 1970s and early 1980s. The latter name was fairly well-known, I believe; and although the Birdcage was somewhat controversial for many groups, it must've been quite popular with a gross income of nearly $200 million! I found the characters and stories in Birdcage to be quite warm--they were likeable, and even the conservative politician character said he liked one of the drag queens before he knew who he was!!! There was a lot of humour but there were also a lot of realistic issues. *** Just wanted to point out that the above movies and the play and the musical show were quite a big deal! [Myself, I'd heard the name of La Cage aux Folles mentioned before but didn't really know what it referred to until now.]

Taking on "Scott Pilgrim"

Yesterday, I saw approximately the first half hour of a movie, Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, 2010. Scott Pilgrim was the name of the main character but it seems there are comics, a song, and a video game with the same name. They all came up since 1998 for the song; and 2004-2010 for the comics [the video game came along somewhere in between I guess]. For the record, Scott Pilgrim was also a Canadian living in the city of Toronto!!! *** In my opinion, the above movie is a goofy comedy--from what I saw of it. The creator of the comics was quoted on the Internet as saying that he, himself, got tired of being involved with the story! [Myself, am sorry, but I got tired within about 30 minutes or less!] *** In the movie, Scott's friends were either gay or liked to make jokes about being gay!? [Is it a laughing matter--only for some people, maybe!?] *** If the "Irish boy," in real life, was led in the wrong direction for commercial purposes, etc., maybe he and/or his associates were viewing life [and me] in more or less the same way Scott Pilgrim and his friends were??? It wouldn't surprise me if there's a connection!? And everyone is entitled to their feelings and opinions--if they're based on true facts. Another movie, The Birdcage, 1996, showed some REAL gay issues; and this film was praised in Internet notes by GLAAD--the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation. *** If any people thought they were going to put me, or the police project, down by encouraging "Scott Pilgrim" types of products, they'll end up being disappointed! "Scott Pilgrim" might be on the level of "C Grade" in entertainment and others are "A Grade"--if those were terms used in entertainment [they're not normally but will do here!]. Anyway, some consumers have appreciated the Scott Pilgrim products and that's fine.--But there's a lot more than this type of thing to the police project, if I may say [and if "Scott Pilgrim" could be said to be associated with the police project]!

"C.O.P."

Have seen the 4th Police Academy movie ["Police Academy 4"], from 1987.--It was about Citizens On Patrol--C.O.P. Very interesting! Will have to look into these movies further, when I have time. [May have seen the first one a long time ago but don't recall for sure.]

Conservative Christians vs. "Soap Opera" TV

Just wanted to point out to some Christians that one of the originators of the "soap opera" programs was the grown daughter of a pastor! She was used to having people come to her home to talk about their problems--and it helped give her an idea for the "soap operas." In her case, she started with a continuing radio program first, if I recall; and then she went to television later. [Will research some more when I have a chance.] *** If some people have had an idea that soap operas were only about romance and sex, I'm sorry but they're mistaken! There have been many social issues portrayed. [And the individual soap opera shows can vary from each other, of course. I've stuck to a few certain ones, which I've followed off-and-on.]

Elizabeth Taylor--II

Would like to write some more about Elizabeth Taylor but will do more research first--when I have more time. From a quick look this morning, it seems the family she grew up in were Christian Scientists; and then she, herself, converted to Judaism later on. I didn't know that! [And the "Dame" title she received from Queen Elizabeth II of England was comparable to a "Knight" title for men?] And, of course, Michael Jackson was one of her close friends.

Elizabeth Taylor

Elizabeth Taylor has passed away. Was interested to see TV news and read a newspaper this morning. One of the things Taylor was known for was her extensive jewelry collection. She had stated in an interview earlier that she valued gemstones also because they were part of "God's handiwork." In northern and northwestern Ontario, there have been local gems on display [at Sudbury and Thunder Bay]. It was one of the things I appreciated; and even the less valuable ones are beautiful! *** My sympathy to the friends and family of Elizabeth Taylor. [She had also been one of my favourite actresses when I was young; and she began as a child. "National Velvet" {1944}, a story of a horse, was one of her first major films.]

The Horse Stories Meet The "Eye"...

Was it a movie called Chicago, 2002, where I first noticed a close-up of a human eye? It was at the beginning of the film and seemed somewhat disconnected from the story, if I recall. Don't have time to look back in this blog to see where all the other "eye" symbols were--if I recorded them here? But in the Secretariat film, recently mentioned, I believe there's a definite intention to bring the horse stories and the "eyes" together!? The "Chicago" story was about the two females.... [And one day, maybe people will be willing to believe the real truth--to accept what was promotion only--and to make corrections where needed!? (If some people honestly believed the wrong facts, I'm sorry. But it seems there was also a little prejudice there!?)] *** It may "separate the men from the boys" when it comes to accepting the real facts!? The truth is bound to come out sooner or later--I just hope it's sooner! And it's the City of Toronto which has displayed the largest "eye" anywhere, it seems!? [Does anyone else have a bigger one?]  Note added in February 2023:  I may have deleted a post earlier where I explained that the "eye" symbols have been used in film to relate to the police project and activities in Toronto, Canada--the Toronto city hall is in the shape of an eye, when viewed from the air--two or three buildings.  Also, the Toronto Police have been quite active with the police project, if I may say?  Some horse stories have been used because, of course, the Canadian Mounties used to ride on horseback...some of them still do.  And the Mounties have had a lot to do with the special project, also.--Maybe not all of the horse stories relate to them, but some do.  If the stories aren't directly about LGBTQ issues, they're about people who are involved in the project....

A "Glove" Film--II

Have I ever mentioned in this blog that "GARP" can refer to insurance people--the Global Association of Risk Professionals? When major movies are made, they normally have insurance on them, to my knowledge. And, whether it was very accurate or not, there was an issue made of film insurance in an older movie, "The Producers," 1968. [There seems to be a new movie called The Producers but I haven't seen it yet.]

A "Glove" Film

In The World According to Garp film, 1982, a baby was shown at the beginning. It wasn't really clear why and I had wondered. Later in the movie, the "magic gloves" were a black colour if I recall. And it's possible the filmmakers didn't really approve of the "black" side and the gay issues!? A nurse in the film, and her grown son, were both writers. I believe this film also referred to the "mix-up" that happened around the "Queen Lady" and some screenwriters!? Some parties intentionally wanted my friend, the Queen Lady, to be involved??? And I have to say, I believe those people were coming from a position of prejudice [not to mention "bearing false witness"--which is against the 10 commandments]. They didn't want to know or support the real facts. And it was also nearly 30 years ago when this film was made! *** Myself, I haven't quite had time to contact all the parties who needed to be updated. [It seems nobody else will do so, if I don't!?] And the police really are busy with their normal work--this project is somewhere on a shelf or a backburner for most of them!? So, I'll be doing what I can. Have also said before that if the "black" side wanted to have some sensible answers and to support what people on the "white" side did, it wouldn't bother me to help them. Whoever gets there first is the winner, as far as I'm concerned! [There have been parties competing, as I've stated many times; and even the "twin" parties weren't meant to be the final and deciding ones, I guess! (And nobody needs to feel bad if they think the "twins" have lost their case!)]

"The Hungry Bears"--???

If the RCMP have been represented by "bears" in some film/TV stories, there was a rumour about a year ago that the "bears" were getting hungry--and angry because of not getting paid yet!? Have also heard other indications that some RCMP people expected to get paid. So, it may not be an entirely non-profit thing even for the RCMP!? Or do I have the right facts? *** Have seen that police in different areas [not just RCMP] may have only a little knowledge about what's going on.--It's not as if each officer or even each police department has the whole story!? But we're working on it--trying to! [And it's not easy.... We'll keep trying!]

Police Profits, Or Not?

If the Canadian Mounties don't like to do things for a profit--like even their Musical Ride shows are free--they've left it up to the local police to make profits for and with Hollywood people, it seems!?--Although, strangely enough, not all the local police are properly informed about what's going on! But the fact of not-for-profit Mounties may be an issue in letting Doc Hollywood off the hook!?--Nobody was going to profit directly from his actions! [And there were reasons for them, at the time.] *** It's too bad the local police--chiefs and constables--are less qualified and informed of the issues! They've had problems dealing with them, it seems!? They're also not exactly financial geniuses, sorry to say! [Although it seems profits have been made--they're just sitting on them!] *** The western part of Canada was where they were getting things done better.--The east was left to be the "bad guys."--They were "East of Eden," as I've written about before. But people haven't been able to figure it out yet! And the west has been waiting for the east to handle the issues--maybe the west is guilty to the same degree on that account!? [It's hard for the parties to act when they're not aware of all the issues.] *** Anyway, am not completely sure the Mounties won't profit financially from this matter in the end? Don't have all the facts.

NOTE, added in March 2023:  Have learned that although some of the Mounties were working without expecting pay from the film/TV industry, some other Mounties HAVE made money, it seems!?  As far as I know, the money is sitting in a bank and hasn't been divided out to anyone yet...?

The Goatee--II

It seems to me the complaints about Doc Hollywood by other parties are more like competition and jealousy for business purposes!? Let people count how much money is involved and then we'll see where the motives are!--Not that myself or others have profited from any questionable activities. [I've had no financial profit whatsoever, so far.--Perhaps Doc Hollywood hasn't either--have never heard he had any concerns about finances--and he would've earned enough of his own income elsewhere.] The matter seems more like in-fighting to me! ***By all means, if there are serious concerns and if anyone intends to take action, let them do so. But they shouldn't say they're working in my interests if they're not in fact doing that!? And let's not drag this particular issue on any longer than necessary! People should either act, or get over it. [I also may not be completely finished with my own actions--of other types--if and when any matters become public. It seems to be troublemakers who want to expose undesirable actions in public!???]

The Goatee

Will have to reveal now that the original "Doc Hollywood"--in this blog-- has been known for wearing a goatee--a certain type of beard [or it's like an outline of one]. The goatee symbol has been used in film to represent Doc Hollywood's interests. And, myself, have seen that even people in other countries--real people--have used the goatee to show support for Doc Hollywood! [Am referring partly to relatives.] Sometimes men have grown a goatee for political purposes, it seems!? [Of course, it doesn't mean ALL men with goatees are aware of this matter.] *** Is it unpopular to show support, or charity, towards homosexual issues in this day and age? In North America and the western world, at least, it doesn't seem to be. Have said before that the majority seem to sympathize. *** Some other parties in the "police project" have been critical or even embarrassed of how "Doc Hollywood" has handled some issues in the past. And those issues have concerned myself--they've been around matters which related to me. HAS ANYBODY ASKED MY OPINION--DIRECTLY--VERY MUCH--ABOUT THESE THINGS? There's an issue now with the College of Physicians & Surgeons of Ontario, it seems!? *** Well, some people want to be heroes!? I've already explained a number of points in this blog and I've gotten past them. And people who stall and refuse to act aren't helping my life in any way!!! *** If somebody wants to make a complaint against "Doc Hollywood"--the one with the goatee--let them do so! I'm not asking to do it at this time; and I'm not even in a position to do that.--Nobody would take me seriously, to begin with--unless they were among those who wanted to take action. I also haven't ASKED anybody else to take action for me--not on that matter!!! [There have been more immediate concerns at hand, although I'm HOPING we're moving away from them--slowly, slowly...?] And for the record, if anyone decides to take official action, I believe the matter should be made known--at least to my family and me. My family has been almost completely in the dark about all the activities--and it hasn't been helpful to me. [For a time, it was helpful that my sister put some pressure on me; but there are also limits to family pressure and disputes--they'll be destructive in the long run.] *** Also, if anyone wants to make an official complaint, the investigators could examine my views by reading entries under the Doc Hollywood label here!!!!!! Have explained the matter to the best of my ability, although I have a LITTLE more in my official business report! [It wouldn't have to be a long story, in other words.]

Another Glove

Have written near the beginning of this blog about some "glove stories," including Michael Jackson's glove that he wore in the early 1980s. And I've just discovered another story which is quite fascinating. This glove actually went on a space mission with an astronaut.--He took it with him as a memento and for good luck, or inspiration, as far as I understand. It happened in the summer of 2007; and this was the first time I heard about it--I read it on the Internet. The glove belonged to the young man who went around the world in his wheel chair. His name was Rick Hansen, a Canadian. [The tour was from about 1985-1987.] It seems Mr. Hansen also visited some countries for the 25th anniversary of his tour last year. *** Have added a Link in the Waterlily II blog and will add one here. People can take time to read more, if they wish to. [Have only had time for quick research, so far, myself. But I had followed the news, documentaries, and special programs about Hansen's "Man in Motion" Tour when it happened and some stories since. I believe his entire story is inspiring to all people, whether handicapped or not.] *** If some people recall, I wrote that the police project was connected to a "space" theme; and Michael Jackson had also promoted space and astronauts in a concert [it was on TV--from Bucharest].--That was at least one concert which I saw [and I've purchased a DVD copy].

No Business Training for Some [or many?]

One thing about the original "Doc Hollywood" whom I've been writing about is that he seems to have been employed by hospitals, universities, and government agencies.--All he has had to do was to pick up his paychecks, rather than computing all the financial figures and paperwork in his own practise!? He hasn't had to use very much business information, that is! As for an understanding of law???--No, no, no! Sometimes I've heard he has complained about other parties--and legal and business knowledge would've helped! But people didn't know how to do better--even though there have been a number of lawyers involved [somewhere]. *** The police have been allowed to give out information and "evidence" without any kind of accountability in a court system. In court, there would be many processes and rules about sharing evidence--giving the other party a chance to respond; examining witnesses; and having judges make rulings, etc. And the police "evidence" has gone straight to film/TV people! It's a "can of worms," if there ever was one.--Nevertheless, I haven't asked others to speak on my behalf, if matters concerned me, and I didn't ask anyone to take actions for me without consulting me. [We'll sort things out, in other words. And I've been answering the most important issues in this blog, to the best of my ability.]

Did They Create a "Monster"???

When I was a child, computers in film or TV were practically associated with science fiction or fantasy! They weren't in daily use--not by ordinary people! But we were beginning to have an awareness of them. A question asked was, "Could computers one day 'take over' and override human commands?" Well, am not sure it has quite happened [although automatic processes sometimes get out of control]. But the police project has been compared to a monster or beast, at times--like the "King Kong" gorillas, etc. *** A story told from TV sources on the west coast of Canada was that a young [Irish] boy had an idea for parties to compete in the police project!? This story might have been from the 1980s?--Don't recall exactly. And I've spent time all but begging the parties to work together, rather than competing any longer! [Have given up trying--have just been trying to pull things together, as far as possible.] But some competition has been quite deep-rooted. *** Now, I wonder which Irish boy was involved??? Was it the one we know of, or one from the far distant past? If it was the current one, I think he should consider the effects of his youthful idea!!!??? [And he shouldn't blame others for following his idea!] And he and his associates certainly don't need to blame me for the activities of all the parties from the past 40 years or so! *** If there hadn't been competition in the 1970s and 80s, it's possible things wouldn't have gotten to the point where we are now.--I mean maybe nobody would have accomplished enough, in the long run? [And although there's still conflict--so far--am hoping we'll get past it. Something needs to be settled soon.--Or we can continue hashing things out--as long as it takes.]

They're Not Just Polish--II

For the record, have seen and heard that Italians and Italian Jews had an interest in the "police project"--whether they were for or against the issues!? A prominent Italian-American speaker belongs to the Baptist Church, if I may say, and some Baptist churches have had an interest also. *** Sometimes I wonder if church people really knew what they were getting into--especially if they approved of the police project!? It's been pretty intense! But I feel hopeful we can get through the issues, one way or another. [Some results will be needed soon, for sure.] *** There have also been other denominations which took an interest and even sponsored some films.

They're Not Just Polish...

Haven't written much about Italian Jews in the past for similar reasons why I didn't write about the Polish Jews. But there is some evidence about Italians--from Quebec especially! May have mentioned a movie, Mambo Italiano, 2003 about some gay men and their Italian families. I didn't watch the whole thing because I felt it wasn't necessary; but I saw the first half or so. A line I remembered was, "There's no fate worse than being gay--and Italian!" The movie was set in the city of Montreal; and it has been distributed in different countries around the world, but not through the biggest film companies. One of the gay men in the film was also a police officer--a fictional story--although it was based on the real-life experiences of the Canadian screenwriter. *** Another film was "The Orange Thief," from 2007 if I recall. It was actually filmed in Italy--maybe it was an American film company? [Don't have time to look it up right now.] And this movie contains elements from the police project--and from the Queen Lady story, I believe. *** Have heard there are a lot of Italian Jews around the Montreal area. [Don't know what they're up to otherwise.] The Mounties have been represented by the red colour; and some gay interests in Ontario have been represented by an orange colour, at times [within the police project]. Sometimes the red and orange colours have been shown together, although of course they don't match very well! [We're working on it.] *** There was also an Italian family in a film I mentioned long ago, in connection with the "Irish boy." It was filmed in an area somewhat similar to the neighbourhood where he and I lived as children..... [Won't repeat everything here.] *** And there were the two men I met in Quebec long ago--they were Italian Jews to my knowledge--and they were friends of my French teacher in college. [Have written about this elsewhere also.--Maybe the stories can be found more easily through the Labels section.]

The Heart of Local Issues!?--Part 2

For the record, how much work or financing did the original Polish Jews really do? How many movies or TV shows, and what kinds? [There have been some nice TV programs from Toronto--am aware of it--regardless of who produced them!?] Have seen evidence that Jews in the Winnipeg, Manitoba area are sympathizing with the Polish Jews in Ontario. What about Jews in New York City? Am aware that NYC has an interest in the Winnipeg "human rights project"--whatever it's called--in connection with the police project. But has NYC been following the Polish Jews, in an affirming manner, or not? [If so, I'd guess the Jews even in New York weren't in the majority!? Will write more later.] The local police in NYC aren't sympathizing with the "Scottish" people who want to close down the police project--have seen evidence recently. [And these police appreciate that two fine officers were killed in the Haiti earthquake--in the line of duty--last year.] *** Hasn't it been more likely that NYC sympathized with the Italian Jews from Quebec!!!??? *** Will have to quit here, for now, and will continue another time.

The "Queen Lady's" Religion--part 2

For the record, would like to say I personally heard some comments from this lady which I felt were negative and paranoid.--It was many years earlier, to begin with. I'm not a professional person and can't say whether the comments were clinically "paranoid" or not. Am just giving my opinion! *** One time, within the past 10 years or so, I went to visit my church up north. Some members asked me, "What have you been writing about lately?" They were concerned because our Canadian Broadcasting Corporation had printed something negative about one of our TV evangelists in the USA. I told them it wasn't me who wrote anything like that! And I went to the Internet at the library immediately after the services were over that day. [I looked up the CBC, and sure enough, there was something posted which people told me about!] Was able to write something to my other sources, if I didn't respond directly to the CBC [don't recall for sure]. Other people are aware of what the "Queen" lady has been telling to others; and they know what the status of her church membership has been with my church! [It's not too hard to confirm the details.] *** There has been a lot of confusion--about a lot of issues.... Respectable people may have supported the Queen lady, at times?--I don't keep track of them all, personally. And in the end it comes down to what's credible and what's not!? [People can always make mistakes.--We all can.]

Military Prejudice

The main view from the military--American if not Canadian--has been prejudice against gay issues and/or the police project [or against me?], from what I've seen so far. Would like to write more about this but don't have enough time today. One thing is--as usual--that people really need to have the right facts! [We'll work on them....] *** Also, would like to emphasize that the police project isn't directly run by any church! [I'm not an employee of a church and wasn't asking to be.] We don't have to hold up the individuals or activities to church standards! [It seems people sometime try to do that--too often maybe.] I'm not a perfect person but I'm also not guilty of all the things that have been said about me! [And I don't want people to believe the wrong things.] But if the police project is entirely "Christian" and conservatively Christian--no. There has been a deal [of some kind] between the police/secret police and Hollywood people. And there you go! [We're working on it....]

The "Queen Lady's" Religion

The "Queen Lady" was a new convert to my church when she first met my family and me. Since then, she asked to have her membership removed from the church nearly 20 years ago. From what I've seen, she's been somewhat floundering around the area of religion over the years. And she developed some paranoid ideas of hell and doomsday issues [that was before she left my church]. It's been reported this lady has told her paranoid ideas to others; and they've been confused about what my church believes! When I've had a chance, I've written to make some corrections; and I've mentioned people should speak to a pastor of the church if they need better information. [By now, this woman seems to be more stable, from what I last heard. She had been associating with Jews somewhat, although she earlier said she didn't want to believe in any particular religion.] *** There were some single women I met in the church up north when the "Queen Lady" was still attending there. It turned out later that one or two of them had gay interests of their own; and one specifically told me not too many years ago that she'd like to find a female partner. I had gradually become aware of this interest of hers, although she wasn't meaning to harass me about it [and she didn't]. She had also told me she didn't want to talk about my legal matters any more.--Earlier I used to call and ask her advice sometimes. In my case, my legal problems have continued--whether other people wanted to discuss them or not! And some ladies in the north also began holding their own church services in their homes, rather than worshipping with our church.--When I travelled north, I didn't see them. For the record, I don't judge these ladies--not to say they all have the same interests. If I've referred to the Queen lady as a friend, it's not because I've sympathized with all her views.--I certainly haven't! My life has gone on a different path and so have other people--kind of a fork in the road. People change. Maybe we'll meet again sometime, maybe not. I don't want to condemn anyone--for sure not. It's just that my life is different now. [Am still working on some issues but am quite clear about my feelings otherwise.]
