Another Irishman [half- ]

As incredible as it may seem to me, some authorities actually wanted to know if I had lied to my husband about past relationships when we got married!? The answer was, no! I believe my now late, ex-husband's police friends didn't have concerns [but some people did]. *** Even though he had problems with alcohol and whatnot, my husband always had a good heart--he was generous and helpful; and he had supported the gay rights project--possibly from many years before we got married [although he didn't tell me about it directly]!? His parents had also been involved with police, either through employment or by fostering children through the Children's Aid Society. Maybe some people wanted to know if I'd be a credible supporter of the gay rights project--or was I dishonest person? And I guess some concerns have been answered! *** Have written earlier that my husband's birth mother's family was from Ireland. [The families of my husband's adoptive parents were from Great Britain--England and Wales.]

The "Irish Boy"

If the Irish boy began telling his stories--with or for police--in 1972, it seems there were other boys who were telling stories about him! He may not know what they've told; and the stories may or may not be true [by the time they've been told in film]! *** On my side, I was actually 6 years old when I last saw the Irish boy in the neighbourhood where my parents owned their first home. [I had my 7th birthday shortly after we moved.] But it turned out the Irish boy was acquainted with one of our new neighbours--have I mentioned it here before? And I didn't know there was any connection at all! So, our new neighbour had been telling stories to police--a number of years later; and one of our family friends had heard something at the public high school where he went--he also told something. [It was like a teen-age soap opera, I guess!?] *** The other stories were more significant after the mix-up in 1975.--People were taking any alleged relationship very seriously! [And it was even more of a soap opera, apparently!?] *** As I've said, the matters have been investigated; and some authorities really wanted to know what was true, among all the stories! I believe the concerns have been put to rest now. It has been a very serious matter for some people.
