They Haven't Maintained Connections!?
Have seen evidence to suggest that people in my home town were given information about homosexuality from the USA in the 1960s, if not before, and nobody has bothered to get any updates since!? The old information associated homosexuality with issues like bestiality, pedophilia, and polygamy. But if we want to be fair, I don't think we can associate these problems with individual gays in our contacts with them!? The Homosexuals Anonymous group has found that homosexuality isn't one of the worst sins listed in the Bible, and it's not the lightest.--It's somewhere in the middle, or so. *** Have probably mentioned a film from the early 1990s before--"A River Runs Through It." It's about a Christian pastor's family. The story is mainly about the two sons; and one is very restless and unsettled. The restless son isn't described as gay but the meaning could be understood. This boy came to a violent end at a young age. I think the situation could be compared to a hate crime. The father made a meaningful comment at the funeral, at the end of the film. Don't want to give away all the details but the meaning was that we can have compassion even if we don't understand all about other people!? Isn't that what Christians are called to do? [It doesn't mean we have to accept bad behaviour, in some cases, but we're required to have a forgiving attitude. Am referring to other situations besides homosexuality, also.] For the record, I've seen this movie for sale in the stores within the past few years, if anyone would like to look it up. [It was produced and sold on the regular market and not a Christian one. And most films are available somewhere for sale, rental, or viewing.]

Not Just a Kids' Show
Last night, a special documentary was aired for the 20th anniversary of "The Simpsons" TV series. The Simpsons is an animated show but it's not just for children. Someone said it was "social satire." It's also being shown in 90 countries around the world. *** An anniversary episode was shown as well. Krusty the Clown--KC--almost got married to his new co-host but it didn't work out. Homer and some co-worker friends almost got hired by another company. Mr. Burns had cut off the donut supply at the plant but then he offered even better donuts than before. *** In Scotland, it seems they have some friendly rivalry about the history of the "Groundskeeper Willie" character.

Some Wanted My Help...
Recently, I said it seemed to be the most homophobic Christians who were working together with aggressive gays [not to say they're all aggressive]. And I wondered if either side really wanted to make progress--true progress--and to resolve something? Have had my doubts!? Now, I realize there may also be Christians who are hypercritical and in denial about themselves; and maybe they don't want real answers? If some people, whether Christian or not, are very careless and frivolous I'm sure their efforts will fall by the wayside. They won't prosper--not for long. However, I've remembered that some writers and/or their associates [advisors] have said they wanted to stir things up--especially in order that they could get help and resolve this business!!!??? They wanted to attract attention, even if it was negative! Their "acting up" was a cry for help--whether for gay issues or for business--in other words.
*** It's possible that not all of the aggressive people want help. And some Christians who are indulgent towards gays or who seem to be indifferent about the issues may resist real progress. But I feel prepared at this time to go forward.--I want to deal with all the issues which need to be dealt with. [This will include legal issues and dealing with parties who have been mistaken in their actions or beliefs.] *** It may not be easy. I always have to use caution! And I'm not sure how long it will take--how many more "layers" will there be? But I'll take some steps today.

Detroit Story
As seen in other entries with the same label, there was a real-life concern from the city of Detroit which came up. That was in 1966/67. At the time, my uncle's family had a policeman neighbour near them. My uncle and the policeman used to speak to each other. The name of the street began with "Mack" letters. [The letters have been significant.] The "Beverly Hills Cop" movies--3 of them to my knowledge--have been relevant, I believe; and they were about a Detroit police officer who went to Beverly Hills to find out some information. The stories were fictional but I believe there were some real details, or references to real life, in them. *** As I've written elsewhere in this blog, my parents and I weren't aware that anything about my life was being marketed before I was 18 years of age or more. And I don't believe people--any people--had a right to make judgments for commercial or political purposes. They were allowed to tell what they saw, more or less, although even brief or temporary events might not have told the whole story about anything!? For any of these people to continue making judgments--especially at this time--isn't appropriate, in my opinion. They could communicate with me directly, if they wish to. *** If anyone has said they wanted me to influence the gay rights project for their particular purposes, it might or might not be a realistic expectation! And especially not if they had those expectations before I was even a legal age! In other words, if anyone marketed my life with expectations for the future, I think we'd all need to examine and re-examine everything in the context of the big picture!? Have tried to be helpful and have mostly given my views, by now. But it's always easier to be destructive than to make constructive efforts; and it's not fair for some people--as above or elsewhere--to be allowed to continue making libelous comments about my life and activities! *** We'll be working on the issues!--I hope we'll continue making progress.
